PHILLIP BAXTER
Phillip has been a practising Lawyer in the Burleigh Heads area since 1980 and has a wide general legal experience and local knowledge.
Having participated in the dynamic growth of the Gold Coast region since first commencing practice, Phillip is uniquely placed to assist clients with business and general legal matters in the region.
Phillip has been extensively involved in property and real estate development and has overseen the financing and development of many large and small scale developments in the Gold Coast area. This experience in particular enables the giving of sound advice and practical legal insights based on real world experience to enable clients to have the best opportunity to succeed and obtain the desired results.
Phillip is married with 5 adult children, one of whom, Andrew, works with Phillip in the practice as a Solicitor.
When not in the office Phillip enjoys exercising and playing classical guitar as well as simply relaxing after the hectic pace of a busy legal practice.
ANDREW BAXTER
Andrew is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, he has been practising at Baxters Solicitors since January 1998 and became a partner in January 2016. In that time Andrew has developed a substantial bank of knowledge and experience in a range of legal areas including:
- Complex commercial property acquisitions and disposals
- Extensive property development related work including land subdivisions, small and large Community Title Scheme establishment including schemes involving creation and sale of management rights
- Extensive commercial and retail leasing for both landlords and tenants
- Business acquisitions and disposals including franchised businesses
- Litigation in all Courts of Queensland including Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, QCAT and Land Court
- Will drafting, including testamentary and protective trusts
- Deceased estate administration and claims against estates
- Property related family law matters
- General commercial dispute resolution taking in a range of issues
In over 15 years of practice Andrew has a demonstrated track record of assisting clients to achieve positive outcomes in a wide range of transactions in an efficient and effective manner.
Away from the commitment to legal practice Andrew enjoys a range of interests, in particular music. Andrew has been living in Burleigh Heads since 1980 and is firmly established as a long term resident of the area together with his wife and 2 young daughters.
Charity and community work undertaken by Andrew over the years has included being active in the Burleigh Heads business community, serving for many years as a committee member and office bearer of the former Burleigh Heads Chamber of Commerce, donating time to the Gold Coast Community Legal Advice Centre Inc and being actively involved in a range of community and commercial music and arts programs, events and festivals.
